Where do the sessions take place?I offer both studio sessions and outdoor location shoots in beautiful spots around New Plymouth. We’ll choose a setting that suits your family’s vibe!

How long does a typical session last?Most family sessions run for about 45 to 60 minutes—just enough time to capture gorgeous moments without tiring little ones.

What should we wear for our photoshoot?I provide a styling guide to help you choose outfits that feel comfortable, cohesive, and photo-ready. Soft neutrals, earthy tones, and simple textures work beautifully.

What if our kids are shy or energetic on the day?That’s completely okay. I work at their pace, keeping things fun and pressure-free. Some of the best shots come from spontaneous, playful moments!

Will we get a mix of candid and posed images?You’ll receive a beautiful gallery with a mix of gently guided portraits and authentic moments that unfold organically.

When will we receive our photos?Edited images are delivered via an online gallery within 2–3 weeks, ready to order, download and share with loved ones. Additional print products are also available to order. I offer a selection of fine prints and keepsake albums so you can preserve your family memories in a tangible, beautiful way.

What happens if it’s raining on the day of our outdoor session?No worries! If the forecast looks wet, I’ll be in touch to discuss options, whether it’s rescheduling, or shifting to a cosy indoor session,

How far in advance should we book?I recommend booking 4–6 weeks ahead, especially during busy season (October - March). This gives us time to plan and find a date that suits your family’s rhythm.

What time of day is best for photos?For outdoor sessions, late afternoon gives us the most flattering light (hello, golden hour!). In my studio, I have soft strobe lighting which ensures a warm and cosy feel any time of day.

Do you offer gift vouchers?Absolutely! A family photoshoot makes a beautiful, heartfelt gift. I offer vouchers for full sessions or custom values.

What should we bring to the session?Just yourselves and maybe a snack or comfort item for little ones. If there’s a sentimental prop or toy you’d love to include, bring that too!

Will you help us with posing during the session?Yes, I offer gentle guidance to keep things natural and relaxed. Think soft prompts rather than stiff poses so everyone feels at ease and connected.

Can we meet before the wedding?Absolutely! Whether it’s in person, over the phone, or via video chat, I love connecting beforehand to learn more about you and your wedding plans.

Do you travel for weddings?Absolutely! I’m based in Taranaki but happy to travel near and far. Travel fees vary depending on location - just ask!

How many hours of coverage do you offer?I offer flexible coverage depending on your needs, whether it's just the ceremony or from getting ready through the last dance. Let’s tailor it to your day.

Do you work with a second photographer?I can! If your day calls for more coverage or different angles, a second shooter ensures we don’t miss a moment. A second photographer is available as an optional extra on all standard packages.

Will you help us plan a timeline for photos?Absolutely! I can work with you and help you build a photo-friendly schedule so everything flows smoothly and feels relaxed.

Do you offer engagement shoots?Yes! These are a lovely way to celebrate your journey and get comfortable with my approach. Bonus: they make great Save-the-Date images!

Will we see sneak peeks before the full gallery is ready?Yes! I love sharing a few highlights soon after your wedding so you can relive those first magical moments right away.

Do you capture candid moments as well as posed ones?Yes! While I’ll guide you through a few key portraits, much of my work is about capturing the real magic - those spontaneous smiles, shared glances, and your special connection.

What’s your favorite part of photographing weddings?It’s witnessing and capturing love. Every wedding has its own energy, and I adore capturing the emotions, laughter, and little in-between moments that make it unforgettable.

How long will it take to get our photos?Typically, final edited images are delivered within 6–8 weeks. I’ll keep you updated along the way.
